Our Food"ventures"

An afternoon to remember it certainly was...
On Wednesday, March 13th the lobby area of the Bengaluru Marriott Whitefield was buzzing with activity when we entered. Something special and big was happening. We were welcomed , by the courteous staff at the marriott and also served really tasty drinks- A chocolate and strawberry smoothie and an Oreo smoothie.

After a little chat with friends and people from the food fraternity and fellow bloggers or "blogettes" as the GM - Mathew , had very fondly named us folks, we took our seats, and looked into our very meticulously put together press kits, which contained a lovely brown loaf of bread , a box of muffins , a press kit and a recipe from Kate Bracks's collection.
Mathew , started with introducing himself to us and the concept behind the Whitefield baking company.

Here are a few pictures of the Whitefield Baking company's wonderful setup..

And then entered Ms. Kate bracks! Winner of the 3rd season of Masterchef Australia- A show that was so ardently followed here in India that between 9-10 pm in the evening every food loving person, would be glued to their television sets! how excited we were to see her! She was so sweet, bubblly, animated and very easily approachable. She addressed the crowd and spoke to us about how her journey has been after she won.

She was very open to the questions that we all had to ask her and soon went on to give us a small little Masterclass on baking Chocolate hazelnut and Raspberry muffins.

After the muffins were in the oven, she joined Mathew and us for a little tête-à-tête
After this session we all proceeded to take pictures with her which she very politely obliged us with.
It was lovely talking to her and interacting with her .
.

After a lovely lunch at the M Cafe, we were able to sit down and have one on one time with her. We had all these questions to ask her and she patiently gave us such lovely answers, to all of them..

We all have ambitions and dreams, and it was really nice to see a live example of someone who had dared to dream. Someone we had all rooted for while watching MCA!
What a lovely way for the Marriott to launch their new venture, with someone who is the Queen of deserts.
Here's wishing the Whitefield Baking Company and the Marriott all the best in all its future ventures.
